What: A structured research idea with a goal, the evidence that backs it, an analysis plan, a regulatory/operational action, related studies, and its own discussion. This is what you move toward a decision.
How: Click + New Study (top-right) and fill in as much as you have — you can always edit later. Only a title is required.
What: A quick "what do we want to know?" that isn't a full study yet.
How: Click ❓ Question / Hypothesis, pick "Question", type it, and capture. It appears as a card you can discuss.
What: A statement an experiment or analysis could prove or disprove — a half-step between a question and a study.
How: Same button, pick "Hypothesis". When it has a goal and a strategy, use ▲ Promote to study on the card to turn it into a full study.
Three ways in, from fastest to most complete.
What: A single line at the top of the board for a thought you don't want to lose.
How: Type into "Have an idea or question?…" and press Enter (or click Capture). It's saved instantly as a card you can flesh out later.
What: A small form for an open question or a testable belief, with optional "sparked by" and source report.
How: Click ❓ Question / Hypothesis, choose the kind, and capture.
What: The full form — title, goal ("what do we believe that an analysis could confirm or refute?"), rationale (what sparked it), source, evidence, related studies, analysis plan, regulatory/operational action, tags, priority, status, owner, stance, confidence.
How: Click + New Study. Fill what you have and Save; every field is editable afterward from the card.
These turn an opinion into something a reviewer can trace and rank.
What: Clickable chips linking to the reports, datasets, and dashboards that back the idea, so anyone can check the claim at its source.
How: In the study form, add one per line as Label | link-or-path | intent (e.g. FORTE trial dashboard | FORTE_TRIAL_DASHBOARD_PLX-120-03.html | support). Each becomes a 📎 chip on the card. Intent (support / contrast / mention) is optional.
What: Cross-links so connected work threads together instead of scattering. A link is shown both ways: the card you link to gains a "Referenced by" entry pointing back.
How: Tick related studies in the form. On a card, click a ↗ related or ↖ Referenced by chip to jump to that study (it scrolls and flashes).
What: Short labels (biomarker, BRAF, CNS, resistance…) that group work across lanes.
How: Add comma-separated tags in the form. Click any #tag on a card to instantly filter the board to that tag.
What: A badge showing where the evidence points — supports / mixed / opposes / untested. It tells a reader at a glance whether the data backs the idea. The board also rolls these up into an overall consensus meter.
How: Set "stance" in the study form.
What: A high / med / low badge for how sure we are, kept separate from stance so you can be "supports, but low confidence".
How: Set "confidence" in the form.
What: An optional embedded Loom / YouTube / Vimeo clip on a card, for a spoken walkthrough of the idea.
How: Paste a share link into the "Video walkthrough" field; it embeds on the card.
Everyone sees the same board, live.
What: Each card has its own comment thread. Type @name to notify a colleague — they'll see it in their 🔔 inbox (top-right).
How: Open a card's 💬 Discussion, type, and post. Set your name first so replies are attributed.
What: Board-wide comments, and the ability to select any text on the page and comment on exactly that phrase (it stays highlighted).
How: Use 💬 Comment on the board (in the ⋯ More menu) for a general note, or highlight text and click the "💬 Add Comment" tag that appears.
What: Quick one-click reactions (👍 ✅ 🔬 🎯) on any card, so the team can weigh in without a full comment.
How: Click a reaction chip on a card. Set your name first.
What: Avatars of who's on the board right now. Click a colleague's avatar to jump to the study they're currently viewing.
How: Automatic once you set your name. Hover an avatar to see the name; click to follow them to their card.
What: Changes anyone makes appear for everyone within a few seconds — no refresh, no save-button races.
How: Automatic. If the top-right shows "Supabase Connected", you're syncing; "Local Mode" means it's saving to your browser only.
What: Filters the board by any text — title, goal, rationale, owner, evidence label, or tag.
How: Type in the Search box; the board narrows as you type. Clear it to see everything.
What: Quick filters by stage: All / Idea / Scoped / Running / Done.
How: Click a status chip. The count next to "All" shows the total.
What: Two views of the same studies — ▦ Grid (cards) and ☰ Board, a Kanban with idea → scoped → running → done columns.
How: Use the Grid/Board toggle. In Board view, drag a card to a new column to change its status. Click a Kanban card to jump to its full card in Grid.
What: Plain-language definitions of every target, trial, and platform term used on the board (BRAF, plixorafenib, RANO, RECIST, ORR…).
How: Click 📖 Glossary (top bar). Use its filter box to jump to a term.
What: The FORTE / PLX-120-03 (plixorafenib) trial dashboard that the starting studies were seeded from — the evidence source behind the board.
How: Open it from the status panel ("Trial dashboard →") or the evidence chips on the seeded cards.
What: Bring in a set of studies from a JSON file (e.g. a seeded starter set), or keep a local backup.
How: Use 📎 Attach / import JSON in the ⋯ More menu. Your work is also saved to your browser as a fallback if you're offline.
What: A display name (not a login) that attributes your studies, comments, and presence.
How: Click 👤 Set your name. The board is keyword-gated and confidential — please don't distribute the link or contents.
